Dr. Sohini Munshi is working as a consultant in Reproductive Medicine and surgery at Genome, The Fertility Centre, Kolkata. She completed her MBBS from Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan, with a number of scholarships. She completed her M.S. in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital, kolkata. During her tenure, she was awarded prize in prestigious Tapashi Nag Memorial Talent Hunt Competition, organized by Bengal Obstetrics and Gynaecological society (BOGS) for her paper on "efficacy Of Saline Infusion Sonography for Evaluating Endometrial Pathology: A Comparison with Macroscopic Findings". After, completing her M.S., she completed her DNB in Gynaecology and Obstetrics from National Board Of Examinations, New Delhi. Her original research paper named "Saline Infusion Sono-Hysterography Vs Hysteroscopy in Evaluation of Uterine Cavity for Patients of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding has been published in International Journal of Recent Scientific Research. She cleared her Membership Examination and has been conferred the Membership (MRCOG) of Royal College Of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists(ROCG), london. She later pursued various courses in transvaginal imaging (TVS) and IUI from Dr. Chaitanya Nagori's Clinic, Ahmedabad. She also takes special interest in laparoscopy and hysteroscopic surgeries. She has worked as an IVF consultant in premier infertility institutes of kolkata. She has presented various papers in conferences including AICOG, BOGSCON, AICC RCOG etc. She has been invited as speaker and panelist as well in various other conferences.
